Conspiring in our own diminishment

by | Mar 13, 2018

From one of my favorite authors, Parker Palmer:

How many times have you watched people kill off creativity by treating traditional policies and practices as absolute constraints on what we can do?

If we who are privileged find ourselves confined, it is only because we have conspired in our own imprisonment.

…no punishment anyone might inflict on them could possibly¬† be worse than the punishment they inflict on themselves by conspiring in their own diminishment.
